Stephanie Rogen

Stephanie is a consultant, coach and facilitator to educational and not for profit leadership. Her work integrates more than twenty-five years’ experience in the corporate, educational and not for profit sectors. Stephanie also brings fresh perspective to the work of leadership and governance, partnering with boards and professional leadership to address transitions, succession planning and personal or organizational development challenges. Stephanie’s approach to education and 21st century learning is enhanced by her collaborations with educational thought leaders such as Ted Dintersmith (executive producer of the Sundance Documentary and book both entitled Most Likely to Succeed), Tony Wagner (author, The Global Achievement Gap, Creating Innovators, and Most Likely to Succeed) and the High Tech High Graduate School of Education. Stephanie is an expert in Gen X and Gen Y populations and helps organizations to “bridge the gap” between generations in communications, performance management, leadership and collaborative learning. She regularly writes and speaks on topics related to leadership development of young adults, women and leadership, and has been featured in Forbes, The Glass Hammer, Career-Intelligencer and other industry publications.

Stephanie’s path to the education sector was a long and winding one. During the period of 1992 to 2000, she was Vice President, Strategic Planning and senior advisor to the CEO of IBJ Whitehall Financial Group (NY). Earlier in her career, Stephanie worked as a senior consultant with Corporate Performance Systems where she developed consulting solutions, led workshops and delivered training curriculum on high performance sales, trading and relationship management capabilities in major commercial and investment banks. She also held positions as a commercial lender and as an institutional foreign exchange dealer at the First National Bank of Boston.

A mother of four, Stephanie has navigated public, independent day and boarding schools with her own children. She is also an active volunteer. She has served on several boards, including Blair Academy (NJ), Year Up, New York (NY) and St. Luke's School (CT). Stephanie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics with a minor in Organizational Behavior from Brown University (1986) and a Masters of Education (EdM) in Administration and Policy from Harvard University (1992). Her EdM focused on leadership and integrated curriculum from the business school, the school of education, and the Kennedy School of Government. She received her certification in executive coaching from Columbia University in 2011. She was born in Oslo, Norway and lived in Norway and England before moving to the United States.
