THE NEW SCHOOL MODELS DESIGN LAB

Introducing the Fall Cohort

We are thrilled to announce the launch of the Fall Cohort for our New School Model Design Lab! Led by the Academy at the Institute for Self-Directed Learning, this transformative course empowers guides and school leaders to craft a conceptual “blueprint” for a learner-led education environment that cultivates character development.

The Fall Cohort consists of five pioneering school leaders across the U.S.

Josh Fallin from Telos Micro School in Denver.

Jamaal Thomas of Black on Black Education in New York.

Isiah King of Re-Imagined Education in Milwaukee.

Joanna Lovejoy from Reverie in Austin.

Josh McLaughlin from Urban Community School in Cleveland.

We’re excited to see the school models this cohort will bring to life!

We also offer a completely self-paced version of our New School Models Design Lab, for school leaders that might be interested. In the Spring, we will host a cohort around our Creating Pathways for Innovation course, aimed at guiding school leaders to assess and cultivate the necessary conditions in their environments for self-directed learning to flourish.
